Jersey
Soft, stretchy, comfortable. The go-to for everyday hijabs and casual modest wear. Available in cotton jersey, viscose jersey, and blends.

- Weight: Light to medium
- Note: Holds its shape well, resists wrinkling
Chiffon
Lightweight, sheer, elegant drape. The classic choice for layered abayas and dressy hijabs. Often used with a lining for opacity.

Modal & Viscose
Silky hand feel at a more accessible price point than silk. Modal is softer and more durable than regular viscose. Both drape beautifully.

- Note: Modal holds color well — good for vibrant or pastel palettes
Cotton & Linen Blends
Breathable, natural, structured. Less drape, more shape. Ideal for summer collections and markets where natural fibers are a selling point.

- Note: Expect some natural wrinkling — part of the aesthetic
Performance Fabrics
Moisture-wicking, four-way stretch, UV protection. Essential for modest activewear and burkinis. Typically polyester or nylon-based with technical finishes.
